Pink Bag designed by Kirsty
available from stock
At Go Green Bags we are committed to helping individuals and organisations reduce their dependence on plastic bags. We would like to encourage all schools to have an eco project centred around recycling and the impact of plastic bags on our environment.
Look at the different ways you can reduce plastic bag usage and at the alternatives available. We would be delighted to send you some factsheets to help. Should you choose to use Go Green bags you can have your eco project and at the same time raise funds for your school – a winning combination.
You design your own Go Green bag – choose the colour and we will print your logo or slogan on both sides of the bag. Most schools choose a standard 22litre bag, but you can have anything you want. We will then produce a computer mock- up of your bag so you can see what it will look like.
It takes up to 12 weeks from design to delivery, so please remember to factor this in to your plans. Minimum order for own logo is 1,000 bags.

You can then sell the bags on to parents and the local community and earn a profit. Ideal for an Enterprise project.

What are Go Green Bags made from?
The bags are made from non-woven polypropylene (NWPP), ironically a petrochemical based material – but fully recyclable, like PET bottles, usually into car dashboards. Have you ever wondered why they’re always grey –that’s the different colours mixing together.
But we want to give up plastic. Wouldn’t cotton or jute be better?
Cotton and jute are natural fibres and are fully biodegradable as long as they haven’t been treated (which many are to prolong their life span). They are ideal when levels of demand are fairly low. The real problem is in the use of natural resources in production to cope with the ever increasing demand. Both need a lot of water and are heavily treated with pesticides to kill off bugs. You can (and should) buy organic and Fair Trade products (non-fair trade working conditions can be deplorable). This doesn’t remove the water issue, and we are concerned that vital water supplies and land currently used for food crops will be diverted to satisfy the demand for bags.
Where are Go Green Bags made?
As is the case with most bags, our bags are manufactured in China, in an ethical factory, personally chosen and regularly inspected directly by us. The factory is a co-operative and doesn’t employ anyone under age 16.
As we want to be as environmental as possible we ship the bags to the UK. This means it will take around 12 weeks in total for them to reach you.
How much do they cost?
The bags will cost from 78p + VAT each (for a standard bag with one colour ink, artwork is included in the price). You can then sell them on to parents for up to £2. The minimum order for own logo bags is 1,000.
But we only have 200 children in our school ?
These bags are not designed as one off items. They are for your weekly shopping, so you will need at least 3 or 4 for each family. And once you have them they become invaluable for sports, sleepovers, swimming, library books –endless uses, and you will be looking for more. Don’t forget grannies, aunties, friends and neighbours. In fact the whole community.
If however, you feel you really can’t justify 1,000 bags or would like to try them out before committing to own logo, we would be delighted to supply a box of 100 standard bags from only £70 (+VAT+delivery). Choose from a selection of colours and slogans, available for immediate delivery.
